Pastor Terence T. Dunlap, Sr. is a native of Union, New Jersey, born to Loretta Dunlap and Eddie Green. From birth, he was nurtured and groomed in the church, eventually serving under the leadership of his grandfather, the late Rev. James A. Dunlap. It was under his grandfather’s pastorate that Pastor Dunlap learned invaluable lessons about leadership, servanthood, and ministry.

Following his grandfather’s passing in 2007, the spiritual mantle rested on him, though he did not accept the call immediately. In 2011, he preached his first sermon, and in 2016, he delivered his official trial sermon and was licensed to preach the Gospel. Since then, the Lord has continued to shine on his life and ministry, opening doors for him to preach throughout the tri-state area and beyond.

In October 2017, after a season without pastoral leadership, Pastor Dunlap was called to serve as the fourth and youngest pastor of New St. James Baptist Church at the age of 26. Most recently, in March 2025, he accepted the call to become the 14th Pastor of Second Baptist Church of Long Branch, New Jersey.

Pastor Dunlap is actively involved in denominational and community leadership. He serves in the School of the Prophet Division (formerly the Spirit of Timothy Division) of the National Baptist Convention, USA, Inc. In 2018, he founded and served as the inaugural president of the “We Got Next Millennial Ministers Alliance.” He also serves as the Late Night Chairman of the Citywide Revival of Newark and Vicinity, Vice Chairman of the Original Gospel Bowl of Newark and Vicinity, and was recently appointed Recording Secretary of the Pastors and Ministers Division of the General Baptist Convention. He is also the Second Assistant of the Triumph Interdenominational Network.

He is currently pursuing his Bachelor’s degree in Biblical Studies at Pillar College and plans to further his theological education at Shaw University Divinity School. Above all, Pastor Dunlap is a devoted husband, father, son, friend, and brother. He is a passionate servant of the Lord with a heart for God’s people and a zeal for the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
